Palm Beach Sharks U10 Blue Battle Hard, at 2026 United Cup

The 2026 Gold Coast United Cup is done and dusted, and while the Palm Beach Sharks Under 10 Blue A team couldn't quite go back-to-back as champions, they can hold their heads high after a gutsy, competitive day of football at Coplick Family Sports Park in Tallebudgera on Sunday, 26 July.

Facing a tough group, the boys fought through four hard-fought matches, finishing second overall — a result built on grit, teamwork and some quality finishing. You can find more information about the tournament through the official Gold Coast United FC announcement.

• Draw 1–1 vs Musgrave (Jax 1 goal)
• Draw 0–0 vs Burleigh
• Won 1–0 vs Bangalow (Jax 1 goal)
• Won 3–2 vs BNE United (Tyler 2 Goals - Jax 1 goal)

Two wins, two draws, and not a single loss across the group stage — a genuinely solid campaign against quality opposition. Every game was tight, and the boys showed real composure under pressure, particularly in the nail-biting 3–2 win over BNE United, where Jax kicked the first goal and Tyler was the standout scoring two goals.

Jax's tournament

It was another strong day out for Jax, who found the net in three of the team's four matches — against Musgrave, Bangalow and BNE United. One of the day's highlights came against Burleigh, where Jax stepped up to take a free kick from the sideline, showing the composure and technique that's defined his season. Consistent, composed, and always involved in the build-up, Jax continued the form he's carried through the entire 2026 season.

A team effort all round

While the scoreline tells part of the story, it was a genuine team performance from start to finish. Tyler's double against BNE United was a huge moment in the tournament, and every player from the Palm Beach Sharks U10 Blue squad contributed to a day where effort, sportsmanship and fight were never in short supply — exactly what community football tournaments like the United Cup are all about.
