Palm Beach Sharks Under 10 Blue teak after winning the 2026 Palm Beach Carnival for the second year in a row

Back-to-Back Champions: Palm Beach Sharks Blue Under 10s Win the 2026 Club Carnival

The Palm Beach Sharks Blue Under 10s are champions once again after winning the Palm Beach Soccer Club Carnival for the second year in a row! The team is part of the Palm Beach Soccer Club MiniRoos program, which supports junior players from Under 8s through to Under 12s.

Played on Sunday, 9 August 2026, the carnival tested the boys across three group games, a semi-final and a thrilling grand final against Southport.

Group-stage results

The boys began their campaign with a hard-fought 0–0 draw against Musgrave.

In their second game, Palm Beach Blue defeated Kingscliff 2–0, with Tyler and Fred each scoring a goal.

Their final group game was another closely contested match, ending in a 1–1 draw against Southport and setting the stage for an exciting rematch later in the day.

A tense semi-final

Palm Beach Blue faced Palm Beach White in the semi-final. With a place in the grand final on the line, Jax stepped up and scored from the penalty spot to give Palm Beach Blue a 1–0 victory.

Grand final penalty shootout

The grand final brought Palm Beach Blue and Southport together once again, with the carnival championship ultimately decided by a dramatic penalty shootout.

A special mention must go to Fred, who courageously took on the goalkeeper role for the shootout. Under enormous pressure, Fred made three outstanding saves to help Palm Beach Blue win the shootout 3–2 and secure the trophy.

A fantastic team effort

What a remarkable performance from the entire team. The boys played with determination, courage and tremendous team spirit throughout all five matches.

Congratulations to all 11 players: Jax, Huddo, Fox, Harry, Tyler, Fred, Bill, Reese, Spencer, Tristan and Baylen. Every boy played his part in this wonderful achievement and should be incredibly proud.

Special recognition must also go to their fantastic coach, Justin. Managing a squad of 11 young players across five matches is no easy task. Coach Justin had to continually rotate the boys and place them in the positions he believed would give the team its best chance of winning each game.

His encouragement, tactical decisions and ability to bring the boys together as a team played an important part in their success.

Throughout the carnival, Jax and the boys wore Alpha Skins washable slip-on shin guards, designed to stay securely in place without uncomfortable straps or tape. Their lightweight, flexible design allowed him to remain comfortable and focused across all five matches.

Winning the Palm Beach Soccer Club Carnival once is special. Winning it two years in a row is an outstanding accomplishment.

Well done to Coach Justin and every one of the Palm Beach Blue boys—our back-to-back carnival champions!
